"Nicholas Was..."  by Neil Gaiman.  Animated by James Bolan.

Neil Gaiman wrote "Nicholas Was..." as a Christmas card.  He had his friend and artist, Dave McKean, calligraph it, and then sent the 100 word short story out to everyone he could think of.  

In 2010, Gaiman challenged his fans to animate "Nicholas Was..." for Christmas and gave them just one week to do it.  This was James Bolan's response, completed in five days!!
